What is personal AI memory?
It is a store of what matters to one person, held so that an assistant can read it with permission. Not a team knowledge base, not a developer database. One person's facts, preferences, people and dates.
How is it different from memory built into an assistant?
Memory inside an assistant belongs to that assistant. It is convenient while you stay, and it is what you lose when you leave. A personal memory layer is held separately and read by whichever assistant you are using.
Who can see it?
You, the assistants you explicitly connect, and anyone you share your Twin with, within the tiers you set. Nothing is shared with another person by default. Your content is not used to train AI models. Each model provider's terms are being confirmed for this; the list is on our sub-processors page.
What AI Twin is
AI Twin is a personal AI memory layer, built in the UK. It keeps what matters to you as typed, searchable memory stored in the UK, and assistants that support MCP connectors, such as Claude, can read it with your permission.
