Your data.

What your Twin holds, what you can put in, and how it leaves when you say so.

What your Twin stores

AI Twin is a typed memory, not a pile of text. The main kinds: People, Documents, Facts and Events, further types beneath them, and the relationships between them, alongside the working surfaces they feed, your Tasks, Forms, Cards, and Journal. Typing is the point: a fact knows when it was true, an event knows when it happens, a person connects to what you know about them, and search can lean on all of it.

Every memory carries provenance (where it came from), a confidence level (shown, not hidden), a validity window (facts change; your Twin keeps the history rather than overwriting it), and a sensitivity tier you can change. And every memory got there the same way: through your review queue. Nothing is saved until you confirm.

What you can put in

  • Typed and pasted words: thoughts, decisions, pastes from anywhere, including answers you liked from other AI tools.
  • Files: documents in the common formats, PDF and Word among them, plus images. Video files are stored and playable; their spoken content is not yet searchable, and this page will say so when that changes.
  • Links: drop a URL and your Twin fetches a preview to remember it by.
  • Email: forward anything to your Magic Inbox address.
  • Your history: import files from ChatGPT, Claude, Notion, Obsidian, Gemini, and WhatsApp chat exports, with the exact export steps in Get your data out.
  • From your phone: share to AI Twin from the share sheet once the app is installed.
  • From connected assistants: Claude or ChatGPT can propose memories through propose_to_twin; proposals wait in your review queue like everything else.

What does not go in: anything you did not confirm. There is no always-on capture, no ambient recording, and no assistant writing to your memory directly.

How your data leaves, on your terms

Three doors, all yours.

To your assistants: connected assistants read within your sharing level. LOW and MEDIUM memory can leave by default. HIGH leaves only with your per-destination opt-in. CRITICAL never leaves. Every read is written to your audit log.

As an export: Settings, then Export, produces your memory as structured files you can keep. Larger memories arrive in parts. The current export is complete, if plainer than it will one day be.

By deletion: delete your account and your data goes with it. Deletion reaches search indexes too, with a short operational window for backups to catch up. If your trial lapses instead, nothing is deleted for 30 days; your memory waits, held safely, in case you return.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in the UK and EU. UK GDPR aligned, EU AI Act readiness in build. The trust page carries the specifics: the audit log, the security controls, and the exact promises about connected assistants.
