GUIDES · FIRST WEEK

Your first seven days.

One action a day. By day seven your Twin is part of how you work.

Your trial is seven days, so this guide is too. Each day has one action, why it matters, and how you know it is done. The checklist on this page remembers your progress on this device.

Day 1: give your Twin a past

Action: run one import, from the app you use most, then search for something you know is in there.

How: export the file using Get your data out, then Settings, then Import, then confirm the first batch in your review queue.

Why: a Twin with your history answers like it knows you, because it does.

Done when: you ask about something from months ago and your Twin answers with a memory, provenance attached.

Day 2: put your Twin inside your assistant

Action: connect Claude (or ChatGPT) and run the Kick-off Prompt.

How: Getting set up, step 7 or 8, then paste the Kick-off Prompt from Prompting your Twin.

Why: this is the moment the memory travels with you instead of living in one app.

Done when: the test proposal from the Kick-off is sitting in your review queue, unsaved, waiting for you.

Day 3: read your first Brief

Action: ask for a Brief and read what shaped it.

How: Home, or ask in Chat.

Why: the Brief is your Twin's judgement of what matters now, and seeing its sources teaches you how it thinks.

Done when: you have opened one item the Brief surfaced and it was worth surfacing.

Day 4: point your inboxes at it

Action: forward two real emails to your Magic Inbox address, and add one key date.

How: the address is in Settings, then Magic Inbox; the date can go in through Chat in plain words.

Why: renewals, bookings, and deadlines are the memories that pay for themselves.

Done when: both forwards are confirmed from the queue and list_key_dates would name your date.

Day 5: make the queue a habit

Action: capture three things through the day the moment they happen, then clear your queue in one sitting.

How: the Universal Input, or ask your connected assistant to propose something to your Twin.

Why: ten seconds of review a day is the whole cost of a memory you can trust.

Done when: your queue is empty and everything in memory got there because you said yes.

Day 6: check what leaves and what stays

Action: open a few memories and look at their tiers, then relabel one.

How: Memory, open any item, and its tier is on its face.

Why: LOW and MEDIUM memory can leave by default. HIGH leaves only with your per-destination opt-in. CRITICAL never leaves. Knowing that, and marking one thing CRITICAL yourself, makes the sharing rules yours rather than ours.

Done when: you know where your most sensitive memory sits and why it is not going anywhere.

Day 7: tune it, then decide

Action: adjust the Master Prompt to how you actually worked this week, and look at your audit log.

How: edit the Project instructions (Claude) or Custom Instructions (ChatGPT); the log is in Settings.

Why: the prompt is a rulebook, and after six days you know which rules earn their place. The log shows you a week of your Twin behaving exactly as promised.

Done when: you have changed one line of the prompt for your own reasons. That is the sign this has become yours, and day seven is also the day to decide whether it stays.

Your checklist

Tick each day as you finish it. Progress is kept on this device only, in your browser, and the reset control clears it.

If you fall behind

Nothing here expires. The days are a rhythm, not a deadline; pick up where you left off. And if your trial lapses before you decide, your memory is kept safely for 30 days.
